The Office for Persons with Disabilities at the University of Warsaw is a unit of the university. In the further text, we use the abbreviation BON.
The BON supports students with disabilities and diverse needs in matters related to their studies. You may know such kind of support unit as Accessibility Services.
The BON advises employees on accessibility issues and ensures that the university is accessible to people with disabilities.
What is accessibility? How do we understand accessibility at the university?
We understand the accessibility as the ability of people with disabilities and people with diverse needs to participate fully in learning, work and events at the university.
Who can benefit from the BON’s services?
- Applicants for studies at UW
- students,
- PhD students;
- emploees,
- other UW units that need advice on accessibility.
What difficulties can be reported to the BON:
- disability
- chronic illness, or temporary health situation making study/work difficult
- mental disorders
- autism spectrum, ADHD, dyslexia
- specific learning problems
